Marg Helgenberger was an American actress best known for her part in "Ryan's Hope," in which she played Siobhan Ryan. Her rise from a tiny city girl, to Hollywood was quite impressive. Her dream was never of being an actress. At the beginning of her life she was not aspired to make it as an actor. However, it was her dream to follow in the mother's footsteps and pursue a career in nursing. When she was visiting colleges to decide on the program she was interested in but she was also fascinated by performing. The actress was picked by a talent-scout who was watching her perform in a school play. The scout encouraged her to look into a profession in which she could pursue. After working in 'Ryan's Hope she was offered "China Beach" as well as many other notable film and television performances, cementing her status as an actor. Her portrayal as a victim of exposure to chemicals in the film "Erin Brockovich" was one of her most popular performances. Despite having a busy calendar, Marg manages to make time for charities and hosts an annual golf tournament for celebrities in order to raise money to raise awareness about breast cancer.
